Today we are introducing our new flies for 2014. We’re very excited about these patterns and think they will make great additions to any anglers bulging tackle box!
Green Willy is part LBB, part Milwaukee Minnow and part Fire Fly. Three of our favorite flies come together to create one outstanding fly! We’re sure Green Willy will be putting Kings and Cohos on the deck all over the great lakes this season.
Cinderella is a mirage bomb, full of killer King colors. Cinderella’s base in from our highly productive Purple Mirage Fly, then we added a couple new colors into the mix. We’re very excited to introduce this fly and it should be a hit with the Kings as well!
Poison Dart Frog is going to be HOT HOT HOT! Poison Dart is a combination of Milwaukee Minnow, and LBB with added frog rubber. We’re very excited to get this one in the water this season and have a feeling this fly is going to be the rookie of the year!
Papa Smurf is the creation of Capt. Greg Schoemer from Wolf Pack Charters in Sheboygan, WI. Greg ran this fly last season with good success on mature kings. We gave it a try last August and caught some really nice Kings on it as well. The Papa Smurf is a spin off of our UV Depth Charge fly, and shows great promise for 2014.
Here is reverse version of UV King Daddy. Originally tied as a mistake, we ran it this way and it produced better for us then the fwd tie UV King Daddy. So our mistake was a gift in disguise. Try it this season and we’re sure you’ll be impressed.
Blue Fire is the latest in the Poseidon Peanut lineup. Blue Fire is a blue version of our favorite peanut the Fire Fly. With how good Fire Fly has been in past seasons it was only logical to spin a blue version off. We’re sure Blue Fire will not disappoint!
